Every decent voice needs to stand with the LDS folks against this kind of vicious attack on their faith community because as American citizens, they have exercised their civil rights to vote, organize, and donate.
It seems like basic common sense to most parents, but now there is proof: if your kids watch a lot of steamy, suggestive TV, they are more likely to have sex that results in a teen pregnancy.

The study, which tracked more than 700 12-to-17-year-olds for three years, found that those who viewed the most sexual content on TV were about twice as likely to be involved in a pregnancy as those who saw the least.
“Watching this kind of sexual content on television is a powerful factor in increasing the likelihood of a teen pregnancy,” said lead researcher Anita Chandra. “We found a strong association.” The study is being published today in Pediatrics, the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Several young children (under seven or eight) got up to bear their testimonies in Sacrament Meeting today. My son Joshua (three and a half) was fascinated by the six- and seven-year-olds saying “they knew the Church is true.” He turned to me and said, “Daddy, I want to go up there.”
With Halloween nearly upon us, it is time to consider the novel “Twilight” by LDS author Stephanie Meyer. I know, I know, “Twilight” has been around for several years and it and its sequels have been read by legions of faint-hearted, vampire-loving romantics. So, what can I possibly have to add on this subject?
Well, I wonder if we have considered how uniquely Mormon a novel “Twilight” is.
