I thought this was pretty good. It’s about a 10-minute video that includes Donny Osmond’s testimony and some pretty good explanations of what the BoM is about. Check it out. (This link will probably work best with a broadband connection).

A Few of my Favorite things
Now that I feel sorry for all the negativity I generated on my other somewhat intemperate thread (though I learned quite a bit and feel the discussion was worth it), I’m going for a more positive thread here.
A few of my favorite things (feel free to share your own favorite things in the comments below):
History of the Mormon Sabbath
This Sunday’s Young Women lesson is on the Sabbath, so I was wandering around lds.org to find some supplemenal info for the lesson (the lesson manual rarely provides enough to fill the time). I came across the Ensign article linked in the title. It’s from 1978, so it’s definitely dated (the shift to the 3-hour block since that time being the most obvious change), but it’s quite interesting to see how LDS Sunday and Sabbath traditions came to be.
One more reason to dislike the rich…..
This summer I am in Alaska once more, working for my father’s landscaping business (it pays rather well, even taking into account the high airfare from Texas to here). Of course, this means I work long hours six days a week and am rather tired (hence my lack of bloggernacle participation over the last month).
Even One Drink….
As a former drinker, I can attest that even one drink can impair your judgement. Big time. Now there’s some scientific proof.
