Julia Roberts, sounding like a Mormon mom

Julia Roberts almost sounds like she just got out of Relief Society. Having given birth to three kids, Roberts says:

“My dream is to be a highly fulfilled and productive stay-at-home mom and wife,” the Oscar-winning actress tells Vanity Fair magazine. “The highest high would be growing our food that I then make, and then composting and growing more — that kind of circle.”

Orem girl can eat only five foods

This post is a call for help for the Zundel family in Orem. The Zundels are Church members and close friends of my family. You can read the tragic story of the Zundels’ daughter Ashley, who can only eat rice, rice milk, turkey, potatoes and apple juice, here. Tammy Zundel is looking for recipes and would like to start a support group for parents in a similar situation.

Now, imagine the following report from 2000:

NBC News reporting: It was almost unthinkable months ago that Joseph Lieberman, a Jew from Connecticut, had a chance in South Carolina, the buckle of the Bible Belt. But with a relentless focus on fighting terrorism, he has not become a serious contender here.

Moral Majority founder on why he’s supporting Romney

Paul Weyrich, a founder of the Moral Majority, has announced he’s supporting Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination. Anybody interested in the 2008 race may find this interesting:

“I felt it would come down to a contest between Giuliani and Romney,” Weyrich said. “I don’t want Giuliani as the nominee because a lot of our values voters will defect… I know the same argument is made about Romney, but eventually, I think those voters can be brought around. There is a hardcore group that absolutely will not vote for Giuliani… I don’t think they’ll go for a third party candidate, I think they’ll stay home. I think there’s no convincing them. I’ve talked to a number of these folks. Even though they recognize that Hillary is a real problem, they think that it’s better to have somebody bad like that than it is to have somebody halfway reasonable.”
