Droplets of water vapor suspended in the air near the ground

When I was in 7th grade, I cut across a field that was several acres in size to get to school. There was a subdivision there by the next year, but for that year it was a fence-less, open field that significantly shortened the walk to school.

It was foggy one morning. As I walked towards the school and the very thick fog blocked out all buildings so I had no frame of reference and couldn’t be sure which way I was going, it wasn’t long before I was uncertain if I was really going straight or if I’d wandered from the direction I needed to go.

Talk Radio

Unfortunately, Miami is now the land of highways that look like parking lots. When you head to the streets, you are certain to have a lot of time on your hands. Over the years, I’ve become a big fan of talk radio. I’ve probably listened to more than a dozen talk radio programs on a regular basis, including the one Church member I know of, Glenn Beck. Here are some of my impressions.

Girl Scouts

I stopped by to visit a coworker this afternoon, and she had her granddaughter’s Girl Scout cookie order form on her desk. I’m always game to support the Girl Scouts, so I signed up to buy a few boxes.

I was a Girl Scout for a couple years – 5th and 6th grade – and I had a great time. I wanted to join a year earlier, but there was no troop associated with my school that year. After 6th grade, my family moved and I never got going with it again, which I kind of regret.
