Reflections of Christ

Last Sunday I learned about a project called “Reflections of Christ” that will be displayed at the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitor’s Center during the annual Easter Pageant.

From the official “Reflections of Christ” blog:

What to expect

Over the next few posts I’ll strive to answer the popular question, “what are you doing?”.

We are, in conjunction with the Easter Pageant, recreating and interpreting photographically many of the events in the recorded life of Christ.

We’ve been granted access to the costumes of the Easter Pageant. For those not familiar with the pageant costume department, they’ve been researching and accumulating historically accurate costumes for decades. Their designs have been researched by historians and many of the fabrics have been imported from the Holy Land. They have been extremely gracious and accommodating throughout the process of making these images.

The blog contains video footage from some of the photo shoots, including one video with angels jumping on a trampoline to acheive the visual of angels flying (looks like fun).

I am anxious to see the finished work on display and hope to bring you more news about the project and if the display will travel to other visitor’s centers.

For those of you who live in Arizona, this is an excellent missionary tool that will be available for you during the Easter Pageant. Don’t forget to get with your friends, co-workers and neighbors and invite them to the pageant!
