Over at T&S, Kaimi linked this Slate article on what to do if you are confronted with an armed madman like Cho Seung-Hui, the Virginia Tech killer. It’s worth noting that one of the things the article did not say was, “go to your car or dorm room and get a weapon.” That’s […]

From USAToday (emphasis added):
The faithful are restless, a new study of Protestant churchgoers suggests.
They’re switching from church to church, powered by a mix of dissatisfaction and yearning, according to the study by LifeWay Research….
Most of the switchers who changed their house of worship without making a residential move (58%) say their old church failed […]

This week found me in the huge city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. On the way back, there was a strike involving the customs officials/border patrol, known in Brazil as the Federal Police. These are the guys who look at your passport and stamp it as you leave. There were only two guys […]

As far as I can tell, all of the Church members in the Senate voted for the Partial Birth Abortion ban when it came before that legislative body in 2003. The vote tally is here.
Harry Reid gets a gold star for voting for the ban, as do Sens. Smith, Crapo, Bennett and Hatch. […]
